Disappointed with service

I opened an FNB cheque account about a month ago as I was wanting to disperse my money, not having it all at one bank and felt I should try something new, esp seeing that FNB came highly recommended from a few of my friends. The card took ages to deliver & contrary to FNB sms's (which were numerous +/- 3 a day, over & above emails - mostly containing the same info time & again) that advised I would be contacted by their courier to arrange delivery time & date, I had to contact them 2 days after they were in possession of my card. We arranged a time & date, but ended up delivering 4hrs late.

2 weeks ago I app**** for a credit card (which I was pre-approved for). They required my ID & 3 months payslips, which I provided as soon as possible. After having submitted I was contacted by SMS & email to request the docs which I sent again to the email address they had provided. After the 3rd time I was phoned & advised that in addition I have to provide 3 months bank statements as well at which point I told them to cancel my application as it was too cumbersome. The lady at the call center simply said \Okay I will cancel for you\". I plan to close all accounts now & stay with ABSA!"
