Disappointed with FNB
I am a business owner who runs two businesses (Cricket Company & Centurion Cricket Company) both businesses have been affected directly by Covid19 and therefore app**** for Covid19 relief on our FNB App. Both applications were submitted Friday 3rd April reference numbers 24551 & 25915. We received a reply to say one company ref 25915 has passed the criteria and qualified for SAFT funding, part of the Oppenheimer funding. We received a loan agreement to sign which was duly signed and returned. The other application we followed up in good time, ref 24551. After much back and forth we were told it was sent for manual processing and I would get an agreement to sign within 24 hours......as you can guess nothing transpired. Today I have received a sms to say the fund has been closed and we were not successful. The message stated 'First Come, First Served' this is obviously not the case as both assessments were submitted the same day. It is way too easy to say 'First Come, First Served'. My accounts have been in good order with the bank for 12 years, FNB are constantly banging on about how they are helping local businesses & clients. I would certainly dispute that as I have received absolutely no help whatsoever.....all they do is push you from pillar to post. I would like to know how FNB can resolve this issue. How can it be possible for two businesses submitting assessments on the same day, one receive a loan agreement and no update as yet and the other too late for First come first served. It is totally unacceptable and hard to hide my disappointment after a month of frustration. I am being as polite as I possibly can be and hope for feedback but won't hold my breath.
