Disappointed - FNB
One of my 2018 regrets is joining the First National Bank.
At a point in time last year, i took up a private banking cheque and credit card with the said bank. Some months later, for austerity measures, i decided to cancel my credit card and paid whatever that was due to the bank and my accounts were cancelled.
Someway somehow, my credit card was swiped at tollgates ( I have no idea how, when the card was cancelled and cut into pieces). Then another company (apparently of lawyers) called blake started calling me about the new debt. Each and every time they would call, I would explain my story and the response would be "we would make a note and raise an inquiry with the bank."
I work in a professional open plan space, you would therefore imagine getting such stupid calls each and everyday. I then decided to ask the lady how much exactly do i owe so i could just pay that and never receive any such calls. I was advised that if i pay R400 (something), the said account would be paid and subsequently cancelled. I think this was about a month ago from today.
Once again, i have started receiving these calls, advising me that my account is over due and i keep telling these consultants the same thing over and over again. Upon calling fnb, i keep being transferred from one consultant to the next.
I have also been declined home loans by various banks because of this.
FNB, Pleae sort this mess out. I don't owe you anything!!!
