Disappointed and chocked FNB Client of long standing

I am extremely disappointed with FNB, with whom I have various accounts and investments for over 45 years because they have placed a hold on all my accounts. This I only discovered when I tried to do a online purchase and the payment kept on failing, despite receiving a PIN no. When I contacted Online Banking, my call was transferred to Premier Banking Call Centre and I was informed that their KYC Dept requires new KYC documents and then it might take 3/4 days before my accounts will be unblocked. This meant that I cannot access my own funds and are left without funds until then. This action by FNB in total disregard for a client with an impeccable record and for such a long relationship and leaving me in a terrible situation without being able to access any funds. My account are blocked without the courtesy of a phone call or e mail correspondence and the most astonishing thing is that I mentioned during my telephone conversation that I will close all my accounts and was shocked to read a message on my online chat that the person I spoke to will forward my message to their admin/sales dept to contact me to close my accounts. That sounds pretty easy, after such a long relationship they will just close my accounts. It appears to me that they would be able to close my accounts quicker than the time it will take to unblock my account. On the meanwhile I am left with no funds over the weekend or access my investment funds to transfer it to my newly opened Capitec Bank account. Disappointed and frustrate ( ex ) FNB client.

I am still extremely disappointed and frustrated that the response from FNB is that they have uplifted the hold/stop on my accounts and they believe that my complaint is no resolved. I have requested information from FNB with full reasons and justification of their action, which I, as a client ( of long standing 45 years) is entitled to. How can you stop my/ any clients accounts because you require KYC documents, without requesting this from the client and go ahead and stop all their accounts. I (the client) was totally unaware that you require copy of my ID and proof of address and I was also not informed that you will stop my accounts. The embarrassment I went through over the weekend when my card payment was rejected and I was cut off from my own funds/income and also from my investment account. I could not purchase food or fill up my vehicle at the filling station. I was emotionally upset and had to borrow funds from wife to survive over the weekend as the call centre or online banking could not uplift the hold on my accounts. How could you put me through this without communicating with my by phone call or e mail to request the documents you need and at leas inform me if I do not provide it by such and such date, you will stop my accounts. What makes me sad is that I do not receive a response or apology and FNB see this complaint as resolved, because they have uplifted the hold and that is their response.
