Disappointed
6th October 2020 I was waiting at FNB ATM queue to withdraw eWallet cash, Nobesuthu Mnweba FNB Consultant approached us, with a tablet like machine in her hand. Made us believe that signing for cards is the new system the bank is using for eWallet withdrawal. She asked me for my I.D number, and the cell number where the money was sent, she captured the info, then immediately asked me to hand my phone to her as the message came through my phone, asked me to give her 5 digits number, she did this so fast that I was confused! She really acted like a ********, the next minute she was done. Left me with a card and a pin, when I tried to withdraw the R300 that was sent, ATM wouldn't allow me because there's was a R6 charge. I cancelled the transaction and called her, she was already busy with the next victim. After explaining to her what's happening, she walked me to PnP to help me withdraw there, for me to get the full amount. She told me she's surprised and don't understand why the R6 charge. Later in the day when I was at home, I got an email from FNB with a subject and attachment "customer agreement"! I rep**** to the email expressing how I feel, *****ed into opening another account while struggling to maintain the current one due to no income. Today is the 21st October, I gave her enough time to reply and close the account, she never bothered. She doesn't care about my name being messed up, as long as she has numbers to submit, we must be worried about ********* at ATMs and also bank consultants who are desperate and will do anything to get what they want including being dishonest. What happened to asking a person whether they want to open an account or not, explain the benefits, and allow them to have a choice!!!
