Digusting!!!

I approached Stellnbosch Main Branch in November 2016 to apply for a RCP loan. I was then offered a CC as well. I insisted that I did not want a CC if it would effect my application for the RCP loan. I was assured that it would not. On the advice of the consultant (Name unkown) I decided to take FNB up on their offer for a CC. The CC was approved yet immidiately after the RCP was declined!?

Queried this with FNB premier. Since November 2016 no one was able to provide an answer as to why. (XDS, Experian, Transunion and Compuscan are all clear. I check regularly) I qualify on affordability, but somehow FNB is blocking the app because of their internal scoring. (I was also assured on numerous occations by FNB premier that the CC has no bearing on the RCP app and only recently have the consultants been changing their tune - Once again, go to the call records and verify)

Today, 2017/03/16 I received feedback that they where informed by the credit manager, that I used to be under debt review and that is why I am being declined...(actual words were... "you were under debt review for a long time")

Please provide me with the source of this information. I insist on knowing where FNB gets their "info" from. Secondly, provide me with an up to date report from an Accredited Credit Bureau that shows I am, or was under debt review. Please provide me with applicable legislation that allows FNB to a) retain such information if it were true and b) that allows them to use it in any way, shape or form. The call record is there with the feedback, so don't try and impy that I misunderstood!

I insist that FNB share this super special secret report they have on me that only the credit managers aparantly have access to, as I have a right under the NCA to challenge personal information. As after I received the feedback from Premier, I contacted FNB Debt Review and I received email confirmation from this FNB department that I am not currently nor have I ever app**** for Debt review.

I cannot not put into words how disgusted I am with FNB at this point. If all the banks, including FNB are keeping and sharing personal records outside of the public domain and with out my permission, this would be a seriously ******* practice, and I would definately dissuade everyone I know from using FNB ever again. If this turns out to be true, even if all the banks do it, I found out as an FNB customer.

I insist that I receive full disclosure on all the matters discussed above, before close of business on Friday 2017/03/17.

Sincerely Disgusted,

MJP van Jaarsveld
