Different day, same complaint.

My husband had a revolving credit loan with FNB. Last year August my husband was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment. Initially I tried to explain this to FNB over the phone but the phone got thrown down in my ear. After numerous complaints on Hello Peter, agents contacted me. Laurelene Vermeulen thanked me for bringing the fact that my husband is in jail under their attention but that he should contact the collections department. I was dumbfounded by this comment. Does she not understand what it means to be in jail? After another complaint, Joy Mmotong rep**** by saying that I am not allowed to handle his affairs. The level of frustration when dealing with FNB is beyond exhausting. I have had power of attorney on my husbands account for years now. I cant even remember when we went to the bank to give me permission to handle his account. It was so many years ago. Aside from that, your agents are disgustingly rude and arrogant. It is very rare that you will actually find a person you can communicate with. You and the debt collectors bombard his phone with messages and phone calls while being aware that he is in jail. You make statements that you are not able to reach him, while being aware that he is in jail. Do you not get that he is in jail. Why do you not give the debt collectors the correct information. He is in jail. HE IS NOT IGNORING ANY OF YOUR CALLS. HE IS IN JAIL AND HE IS DEFINETLY NOT IN A POSITION TO COMMUNICATE WITH ANYONE. HE IS NOT ABLE TO WORK OR DO ANYTHING. DON’T YOU GET THAT!!!!! Your claims that you are not able to reach him or that he is ignoring your requests etc etc is not only false, but misleading. You won't be able to reach him. He is not able to phone, work or e-mail. Do you not understand what it means to be in jail. And he is definitely not able to contact your debt collections departments or debt collectors. I have sent the documentation to every single e-mail address I can find for FNB. I have done it so many times. I don't answer his phone anymore as I just don't want to deal with your agents anymore. I am tired having to deal with rude people, people who refuse to listen or people who just don't get what I am telling them. Just last week I had the same issue with FNB. A very nice lady assisted me. She was excellent. But now, not even a week later, I am back again.
