Devastated by FNB
So here is my FNB story:
I received a cheque from abroad late September 2018, on 5 October 2018 I took said cheque and handed it in at FNB Bank City where they advised me that this process would take 6-8 weeks and the funds would clear. On 23 October 2018 I received a phone call requesting me to go back to the bank as I did not fill in the required code. I did this on 26 October 2018. I counted the 6-8 weeks from 26 October. Mid December I call and query the progress "Oh we'll get back to you" late December "Oh, we'll get back to you" . 7 January 2019 I am told that the cheque was in the investigation department all this time and would only now be processed and I should count another 6-8 weeks. School starts in a week, I was counting on the money from the cheque to pay for my child's school fees and uniform etc.
Forgiving of my bank I apply for a loan on the app, I get "successful" and that I should submit my payslip only, I do so. Thinking that at least I can get passed what happened and still be able to pay for my child's school needs. After a few hours I call FNB as I have not received the funds. This is when they advise that the application was actually declined.
This is the service I get from my bank...
