***** Departments Failure

I received an email notification telling me that a transaction was declined on my account due to insufficient funds, I called the account enquiries department to find out what this transaction was as I did not authorize a transaction I was at work and my card was with me the entire time and they were not able to find it and they referred me to the ***** department to assist I got through to Manuel who said that the ***** line is an "emergency line" and that my case to him does not qualify as an emergency and that I should go back to account enquiries who will look for the transaction I told him they have looked they cannot find it which is why they transferred me through to ***** he did not seem bothered to assist me in any way he said that ***** only deals with transactions that have already happed and when I asked if him that when my salary reflects on my account and it is gone should I hold FNB reliable to which he responded that, that is what he was essentially saying. I am utterly disappointed I have been a client for a long time and to think that when a *****ulent activity happens the ***** department cannot even help to stop it before it happens FNB cannot even give a client that peace of mind to look and reassure me that ***** will not happen since I have called ahead to let them know noooooo they will basically let me be a victim of ***** before they can assist I am at a loss for words.

It's funny how I was taken serious after I laid a complaint, which to me shows that the customer service that FNB prides itself with is just a fantasy. I thank Bongani for calling to get to the bottom of this only to find that it was a problem that could've been fixed however due to the lack of customer service this incident has let to me closing my account after 8 years. So much for "How can we help you?"
