Delayed transaction due to FNB INTERNAL TECHNICAL ISSUES

I received an app message today from FNB regarding transactions that occurred between 25 - 30 December 2024, which stated, "Please be advised that we experienced a delay in the processing of virtual card transactions between 25 Dec 2024 to 30 Dec 2024. Any fees related to this delay will be reversed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused." The transactions in question amount to R3028.60, which they say I am liable for and need to make the amount available by 23 January 2025, the notification was received today (21 January 2025), so I am expected to make the said amount available in two days for an internal error that they have acknowledge was indeed their fault. To add salt to the wound the suggested remedy is paying for the reversal fees that were charged on the unpaid amounts.

What I don't quite understand is: 1. It took them close to a month to notify me, and when they eventually do notify me they don't bother to pick up the phone and call, all I get is a message expecting me to pay the amount in 2 days. 2. It was an internal error, not a matter of funds were not available when the transactions were made, they took the amount reserved it under pending payments but didn't process it a month later when they realised they made a mess they made the mess my fault. 3. I have been bounced between two consultants, Katlego to Ndani (who admittedly were just doing their jobs), who were of no help aside from a simple "apologies for the inconvenience the bank will pay the reversal charges but you are liable for the total cost of the transactions that weren't made" I the client am liable for the banks own internal processes failing them and additionally failure to report but only conveniently notifying me 2 days before the payment is due and a few days before payday with the hope that I would say "No, it's okay I'll pay"

FNB YOUR INTERNAL PROCESSES FAILED NOT ONLY TO PICK UP THE ERROR IN TIME, BUT THEY FAILED TO NOTIFY ME IN TIME AND FAILED TO PREVENT SUCH AN INCIDENT FROM HAPPENING. KINDLY PAY THE OWED AMOUNT AS IT WASN'T A FAILURE TO MAKE FUNDS AVAILABLE ON MY PART BUT A FAILURE TO TRANSACT THOSE FUNDS ACCORDINGLY ON YOUR PART. THANK YOU.
