Delayed claims

It has been over two months since I submitted my deceased estate claim with FNB and have not received even a single SMS informing me of the progress. I understand there were issues with the Master of High Court,which is what I was told the last time I did a follow up but it's been far too long. Why were there no workarounds implemented to try and fast track the claiming process. My mom passed away in 2018 and it was a traumatic experience hence my sister and I took so long to do the estate claims. Now this is trauma on it's own... waiting for God knows how long.
