DEFAULT INFORMATION NOT REMOVED
Hi
I was listed as default payer for 2 years. My credit report shows that my FNB account was moved to PAID UP after that 2 year period had prescribed.
Surprisingly, The account reverted backward to being in arrears the following month!! How is this even possible? This is captive behavior, It cannot happen that you keep account information indefinitely (Even after listing me for a default)

I keep getting a flimsy response from a tool named Loseph.
Maybe FNB should teach their staff to read before responding.
Can this compliant be handled by someone more Senior?

10 Nov 2021, 17:45 Hi
Please do not insult my intelligence.
I got an email for Loseph I'm claiming prescription (which is not the case).
My account was handed over and a default letter was issued, I was listed for two years from the date of default. The FNB account was moved to PAID on the 2nd anniversary of the default then reverted back to arrears.
I know my what I'm saying, please dont play DUMB.
The retention period for for adverse listing is 2 years, WHY IS MY ACCOUNT STILL SHOWING ARREARS???????????
Regards
Lesego

11 Nov 2021, 11:21Hi
Brooks & Luyt is refusing to engage with me on this Matter!!
Is there absolutely non one who wants to help?
My request is simple:
You moved the account to PAID UP status after the 2 years default period past (correctly so), and then reverted it back to being in arrears!!!
Why are you flip flopping on what is law? THE ACCOUNT MUST REMAIN IN THE PAID UP STATUS!!!
The data retention period that is stated in the NCR act.
You cannot retain the account information on credit bureaus indefinitely:
