Deduction when they see fit

I have a credit card account with them, I make my monthly payment via EFT and they still try to deduct money after my monthly minimum payment due was paid on or before the due date, if there is no funds available then they still charge you R8.50 for the transaction! I have a ref. number for a complaint, but still no responce after a week. They were going to contact me within 1 day but nothing is being done!

I have requested that they stop all debit orders on my account but they say that they can't as its their right to look after their interests first! I feel that this is Infringements on our banking rights and the fact that you have no right to decide who can collect money from your own account is outrageous!

We also have an account with Wesbank part of the First Rand group, we forgot to make the payment this month and was contacted within 5 days of the due date and charged R450 for collection costs, no Statement was recieved or reminder notice just a short call and the bill of R450! This specific account is coming to an end in about2/3 months and seems they are now going all out to make a quick buck before the vehicle is paid in off!

My feeling as a whole is that FNB/First Rand Bank has been to lenient with their lending in the past and lost a lot of money and now needs to make it back some how and has taken these desperate measures to recover some costs at the expense of their clients and they don't care what the clients say or do!
