Declined Ceiling repair claim.
Good day It is with a sad and angry heart that I have to write another review about FNB insurance department. I recently bought a house and a week ago the ceiling in my son's bedroom started showing signs of collapsing. I called and reported it and they sent a assessors who came out and wrote on his report that there was a leak on the tiles and I temporarily repaired it poorly but how can I have done that when I just bought the house. I went into the ceiling and checked on what he assumes and the so called repair could be more than 5 years old but they declined my claim due to that but they never inspected the house properly to start with and now when it comes to claims they find any easy way to avoid repairing the ceiling. I honestly feel banks just sign up insurances without doing a proper assessment before offering you cover. When you have a claim they know which or what damages will make your claim unsuccessful. I had a claim last year and they found a clause in the policy that I was not aware of and they declined my claim. So I fell they should cancel my insurance and I will sign up with another service provider who will fully disclose what I will be covered for and what's my exclusion. To everyone who thinks of taking FNB insurance please make sure you know what you signing up for as they are really useless in my eyes.
