Declined Application yet FNB still require payslips
I app**** for a readvance and a further loan on my one bond. I was told after 10 days the application is declined due to affordability. When I requested the figures how they got to that, I send numerous mails and made numerous calls but got no response except on Friday when Private Suite (Karabo) called Home Loans and came back to say they waiting on payslips.
How does FNB Home Loans decline an application due to affordability yet they still need payslips? The last application I had for vehicle finance, all my rental income was left out and it seems now that all my salary income has been left out. That seems like mismanagement of my application and I need answers quick.

18 Dec 2025, 13:36FNB declined my application due to "affordability" that they manipulated. They only consider 70% of any rental income and claims the other 30% is for taxes (which is due year end with SARS, rats and insurances and maintenance). They further declined my application before requesting my payslips as part of the application. How is that for efficiency and mismanagement of applications. FNB dictate the outcome of the application and DO NOT respond to requests for information or emails, YOU need to use all your AIRTIME to hold on and make numerous calls just to get told they will get back to you. I am still waiting on the credit manager to call me back on 17.12.2025 ... as expected no call and my private banker eventually popped up after weeks of being missing in action. Well done Private Wealth service FNB!!!!!
