My husband recently passed away on the 16th of July 2021. We came to know there isnt a life policy on our home loan with FNB. We are prepared to pay an amount towards the bond but they(FNB) are not budging. We've spoken to many people at the bank on numerous occasions, there is a guy that phoned and his very rude and abrupt. They (FNB) want us to put the house on rent just to pay the bond but where will my 2 kids and I go to then? We even suggested freezing the account for 6 months until we decide if we want to rent or sell but the guy was very rude saying that they (FNB) don't do such and the lawyers are lying to us by saying that they (FNB) can. Mr Siviwe threaten me and my son saying that if we don't take it to the Master of Estate he will. We are in process of going to the Masters but in our religion we do alot of prayers and we are busy sorting out my husbands paperwork trying to see if he did have an insurance policy on the house. I am prepared to increase the years left to pay even if it extends longer in few months or a year as I'm unemployed and I can afford only a certain amount with the help of family members but that guy is been persistive that I sell my home.
