Debt still listed on Transunion 8 months after cancellation

I'm utterly disgusted with the service I received with First national Bank on the 29th of April 2016. I have been a client with First national Bank for 9 years now and requesting a cancellation letter for my credit card has never been such a nightmare. I cancelled my credit card in September 2015 and never received a cancellation letter. I was concerned with this as calls are recorded and another deduction was not required. I recently required fnb to increase my overdraft and was advised I don't qualify. I asked the young lady if she could advise me as to why and she said, unfortunately ITC is advising that you had too many score done. Disappointed I called transunion who advised that I am still owing FNB for my credit card this making my score very bad. The gentleman advised he will need proof that I paid in order for me to dispute this, which will take 21 days from the date I sent it. Alternatively the bank can remove the account from my name. I called fnb asking them to assist with the letter and was sent to 8 different departments kmow one was even willing to listen to what I have to say. I asked the one lady if she could call me back and transfer as I'm home and I have been transferred over 7 times and I have to hold 3 to 5 mins for another person to answer. Her response: you can go to the branch and they will help you. I ended up going to the brach just to find that this gentleman assisting me needed to call the very same department. To date I have no letter and I the gentleman was advise to give me a email address where I can request a cancellation letter with a turn around time of 5 working day. Are u kidding me. I'm so disgusted that when I receive this letter I will be cancelling my account immediately and moving to capitec Bank because for a R5 service fee I received better service then in my 9 years with this bank. I don't even want to get started on the consultant with the attitude telling me that they will need proof from transunion as its definitely not FNB'S fault as they update transunion every 30 day. She couldn't wait to get me of the phone or didn't even provide me with an email to sent my proof. Well I have proof and I will be going to the banking ombudsman too. Disgusted ex long standing customer who has all her accounts with FNB.

Good Day Melinda, Todate know one fnb has contacted me to provide me with feedback or even a apology. I sent and email to ur complaints department Tuesday it's Thursday no response. I called the complaints department yesterday to ask if they can provide me with feedback regarding the matter of removing my name from transunion. I was advised by Fiona that a Team Leader on the credit card resolutions department will call or email me. Fnb needs to understand that they ruining my career, my life and my reputation. Your services shows me that customer services means nothing to FNB.
