Debiting my account for prescribed debt

I am appalled that FNB and Hammond Pole feel it's okay to debit my account today without ANY warning or authorisation.

The first and last communication I had, with regards to a very old FNB card debt, was last month, from Hammon Pole - to which I responded the debt was prescribed. FNB have never, in the last four years, tried to recover the money from me at all [despite the fact that I am paying off another old FNB card debt] and my credit lawyer has confirmed this is now prescribed i.e. I am no longer responsible for this debt.

Yet, today, a debit order for R325 was taken off my account and because it is for a FNB product, it can't be automatically returned.

This is disgusting behaviour, abuse of banking privilege. Is there NO consideration for the fact that perhaps I had something very important budgeted for those funds - like medication for my children who have chronic medical conditions. Who's going to pay for the medication now today? Thanks, FNB, very much, thanks - NOT!
