Debited for COVID-19 Relief Loan that isn't active

I app**** for the COVID-19 Relief Loan in June (which was late, on my part). FNB responded with a Phone Call to tell me that I was unfortunately too late with my application, and that my request was denied. I was absolutely fine with this. Then, the COVID-19 Relief Loan was activated on my Profile, even though I was denied. I didn't notice this until I transferred money into the Account, but it wasn't used... I contacted FNB, and they advised that I send an email to "***". I sent an email to the address 14/07/2020, and received a reply on 17/07/2020, advising that I pay a settlement amount of R1570.60. The amount was then paid on 22/07/2020, and I emailed the Proof of Payment to them. I received a confirmation of Payment from Debt Relief, and was advised that the matter had been referred to the relevant Department for "closure"...

It had been quiet for a couple of months, and then FNB started debiting my Account for +-R405 from October until now. I met with a Consultant at the Pavilion branch on 28/11/2020, who kindly sent an email on my behalf, but nothing has been done. Will this ever be fixed? Will my money keep vanishing? Will it ever be paid back to me? I expected more from FNB to be honest... There's an obvious break in communication between Departments... With COVID in its 2nd wave currently, I can't be expected to run around trying to fix something that should have been fixed long ago, especially now knowing that it would be a waste of my time anyway.

Please can I receive a confirmation on 2 things:

1. Will this be fixed urgently? 2. Will the money be paid back to me?

Hi FNB.

I have received no feedback from you, other than a Reference Number....

Hi FNB...

I received feedback from the Consultant I met with at your Pavilion branch, saying I have to pay a settlement. WHY????? I already paid a settlement months ago!!!

Absolutely disgusted with the service from FNB...

There is no way of verbally speaking to a Consultant. Dial one number, and get an automated system, that you have to verbally communicate what you want, and then eventually reach a point where it doesn't understand what you want. Dial another number for escalation, choose option 2 which rings and is answered, only to hear background noises of people talking, but no one says anything on the phone.

I ask you, with tears in my eyes, what the hell am I supposed to do now??
