Debit returned, insurance refuses to pay

I was in and out of hospital this month and did not keep track of my account. My accounts to my clients was sent out late and received late payments. Because of this some of my debit orders was sent back, including my insurance.

They informed me that they will re process my debit on the 17/18 of July. The morning of the 17th of July I transferred money from my credit card to my cheque account. There was enough funds for my debit order.

The debit was processed on the 17/18 of July AFTER i made my transfer and the debit went through with a credit balance of R152 still in my account. The debit order was returned 10min later due to insufficient funds.

I want to know today why it was returned because I had an accident where my car was written off and the insurance might not pay because of this. I want an explanation and if the insurance will not be paying i will keep FNB liable for the full amount outstanding on my car.
