Debit Order Switching Sucks

I recently decided to move to FNB, a key driver for me was that I would be able to avoid the hassle of switching my debit orders over to my new account.
I received an e-mail this morning stating that they can not process my debit order switching request because the form was sent to them in the wrong format. Annoyances:
1. The form was sent as a pdf, as requested and they also included in the e-mail that they sent to me today my original submission which was a pdf.
2. It took them 11 days to respond to my initial request for the debit order switching service.
I now need to make arrangements to have funds in both my accounts because all my debit orders are not switched over.
I was also told today for the first time that the turn-around time to switch debits over is 3-6 weeks - which was never communicated to me before.
I'm having second thoughts about switching over to FNB.
