Debit Order Switching - Over Promise and Under Delivering
On 1 September 2018 I opened a new bank account at FNB as it provides a product which other banks do not. Upon attending at the Hartbee****rt branch to open my new bank account I requested FNB to transfer my debit orders on my behalf as they advertise it as a free service.
I called FNB on 18 September 2018 to follow up on the progress only to find out that the documents were never submitted by the branch to allow for the transfer of my debit orders. I thus took the initiative to do it myself which took me all but 20 minutes to complete.
FNB is just another bank over promising and under delivering. Had I left it in FNB's hands my debit orders would have bounced.
