Debit order ****

FNB bounced my insurance debit order for insufficient funds, which is not true as all my debit orders go off on the same day and there were plenty funds to cover my debit orders which is what happened and apparently only this one debit order was bounced. Furthermore FNB did not bother to notify me that they had bounced this debit order and then went on to charge me R110 for this bounced debit order. Now in accordance with their website one "failed" debit order is free if there are 6 or more failed debit orders you get charged R110 per failed debit order. How was this calculated because none of my debit orders failed as there were funds in my account? Had I not checked I would have not been covered by my insurance due to unpaid debit orders and furthermore had a *****ed credit record all because my trusted bank wanted to earn a quick buck to cover their covid 19 relief clients at the expense of clients covering their debit orders. This is really appalling service from a bank such as FNB.

I called my insurer today to get them to debit my account again since FNB has not assisted me in any way since I logged a complaint and to my surprise my insurer did not receive any notification from my bank (FNB) that my debit order had been reversed due to "lack of funds", so I was charged R110 for a debit order that wasn't actually reversed because there were funds and FNB is just ***********. Mind you the debit order was reversed on the 1st of August 2020, I only received notification of this reversal AFTER my initial complaint on Hello Peter (3 August 2020) and today is the 4th of August 2020 and my insurer has received no notification of this! If it happens that I need to claim from my insurer and the claim gets denied for premiums not paid I will hold FNB liable and will sue for damages!
