Debit order reversal +14 day waiting period complete nonsense

So now fnb is not allowing us to do debit order reversals. You have to fill forms or dispute on the app then wait for atleast 14 days for them to investigate. It took almost a month for an unauthorized debit order to be refunded. I don't understand this is the money that we budgeted for and then some company decides to debit and then you have to wait minimum 14 days to get your money back, yet they can easily Acces or debit from your account just like that? Why can't new debit orders take 14 days before clearing then incase there is a dispute. Now I'm waiting for another one, surely it will come month end too. When I enquired about the new system a consultant told me it's because people were reversing payments during lockdown, so they have to call the other party find out if they know you or not... Then they can decide whether to process the reversal or not. But then how is fnb obligated in ensuring I pay other parties if I decide not to. So now because of that rule this new debit orders are included and some of us are suffering. Not fair at all.. Not fair
