Debit order ***** ignored by FNB

Last month I noticed unauthorised debit orders by Cell C on my cheque account. I reversed the last 2 debit orders on 16 July 2016 and presumed that FNB would make the necessary investigation as to how ********** debit orders by Cell C were being allowed against my account. To my horror this isn't the case. I phoned their ***** unit on 22 July and was told that they don't investigate debit order *****! Surely once FNB has been made aware of ***** against one of their clients they should investigate the *****. The first two reversed debit orders (May & June) have not yet been refunded to my account. Not to mention the earlier unauthorised debit orders. This week a further unauthorised debit order has been put through by Cell C - this after I had already advised FNB of the *****. Surely once FNB has been advised by a customer that ***** has / is taking place they should investigate as they should be protecting their client's assets. On 22 July I spoke to Sego at FNB who was going to make enquiries and I was to get a response in 3-4 working days - still no response - ref RG ********** 5599

Dear Bouwerfam,
Thank you for your Review.
Unfortunately we are not able to help you with the debit order that has gone off your account. We are not party to the agreement between you and the entity originating the debit order and you must cancel the debit order authority directly with this entity. You can contact Cell C to find out who authorized them to deduct the funds from your account.
We will, for a period of 12 months, endeavor to ensure that the debit order is not debited to your account. We can do so by placing a stop payment on the debit order which will attract a charge.
Please also note that should the amount, description or debt order code change, the debit will still go off your account.
Please call ********** for assistance with the reversing of the funds and the stop payment. Alternatively you may stop and reverse the debit order via your online Banking.
Please also be advised that the cell C debits that went though your account has been reversed.
Regards
