Debit order failure because of FNB
I app**** for a Check Account at FNB and used the service they offer to do the switching of banks and debit orders for you.

On the phone FNB told me that they will be in contact with me and send updates on the progress of the switching in order for me to make sure that there will be money in my account when the amounts are debited from my account.

On all correspondence that I received it said that all my debit orders were still in progress so there was no need to transfer money over to my FNB account yet.

Then all of a sudden my car and home installments were debited from my account and there was no money in it yet so the debit orders failed and I had to pay a penalty fee of R200!!!

I phoned your debit accounts department to find out whats going on and they told me that they are protected by the terms & conditions.

FNB Why do I need to pay you for a mistake that YOU made!
I am a brand new customer and do not even have money in my account yet, but now I have to pay penalties for a mistake you made!

If this is how you want to do business please close my account immediately!
