debit order bounced due to fault from the bank

We have vehicle finance with MFC / Nedbank, who debit our account every month. This month the debit order was blocked / cancelled by FNB due to an unknown reason, and as a result MFC has blacklisted me as payer. Nedbank cannot tell me why the debit order has bounced, as we're not a client with them.

Now FNB tells me, as their client, they cannot help me and I need to speak to Nedbank. Thank you for not taking care of your client.

So since your system had an issue, I am blacklisted and need to pay a fine to MFC for late payment. Even though the balance in our account at that time was more than sufficient to cover the debit!
