Debit Card Authorisation Woes

Despite FNB encouraging its clients to use plastic money there are always problems. On 3 separate occasions l have used my debit card to purchase products online or use Uber.

There is a certain amount that is set aside as temporary authorisation. but for the past month certain amounts remain as outstanding debits on my account whilst l lready paid for those transactions. This means l have no access to my money being held by the bank.

Then l'm told l have to put in a dispute form to claim back my money.Tell me, for who, for what, for where.Clearly there is something wrong with your temporary authorisation because it should clear as soon as the bill has been settled.

This nonsense is self defeating for a bank that encourages client to use debit cards for purchases. Its inconveniencing & should be sorted out.Do not encorage customers to use a system riddled with loopholes.
