Dear Slim :), challenge accepted

In 2014 my husband and I took a bond with fnb, although rates were quite high, we accepted with hope to apply and hopefully qualify for a review.

So we took a salary debit order as my husband's employer's subsidy conditions. We then made an agreement with Fnb shortfalls, if any will be deducted from my current account.

We app**** a year later and were not successful because conditions changed from 1 year to 2 years unless if bond amount reduced drastically. In September 2016 I resigned from my employer and paid my pension proceeds R300k to the bond and tried applying again. Approved, yaay...... for 0.35% reduction. Apparently since interest rates went up, our account was in arrears and regardless of having made arrangements to debit shortfalls from my current accounts, I'm still unable to get better rate than the insult offered.

The consultant kindly called and explained politely that FNB cannot help me. He went on to explain that since this is in my record I can't get better offer anywhere else.

All I wanna say is, I don't believe I am responsible for this mess. At all. I really tried to make this work, but unfortunately being unappreciated is not acceptable so I accept Nqobizitha's challenge. I am out and about seeking better rates then I can finally call it quits.

One too many strikes, this is the last straw.
