**************** - eWallet

My friend, an FNB client, sent me an eWallet of R90. I went to a FNB ATM and attempted to draw the money, only to be informed by a machine that only R50 is available. I thought maybe that ATM didn't have R20 notes. Already now inconvenienced I went to 2 additional FNB Atm's as I was informed again that only R50 is available. After the 3 unsuccessful attempt I was informed that I no longer have a free withdrawal so I was forced to withdraw the R50 as I urgently required the money. I then went to a FNB branch and requested that a teller pay me the R40 as I can't draw an eWallet at a teller. I then told her that I am going to be charged and it is not my fault that 3 different atms did not have R20 notes. She confirmed that I would be charged and advised that if I have an issue I should lodge a complaint with FNB. Aren't Banks supposed to work for their customers? Not exploit them... I subsequently tried to draw the last R40 from the atm at the branch an it as expectedly charged me R11, but the worst is that I then could only draw R20. This now means that FNB keep the remaining R9 that could not be withdrawn. So FNB charges the eWallet sender about R10, then they wanna charge the receiver R11 and also keep another R9 which can't be paid out at an atm.. So for a R90 eWallet the charges were R30!!!!! This is day light ******* and I am glad I am no longer a FNB client and I will continue to be a detractor amongst everyone I meet.
