****************

I am a long time customer of First National Bank. They have a very clever little product called a temporary loan. Everytime you log on to your banking up this little offer appears and yes being a Widow of two Primary School Children I do struggle to make ends meet. I took up this loan around the 20th of October 2017 and a little offer popped up that the loan had to be repaid by the end of November 2017. I thought great - that will give me some time. I failed to read the small print that states that if any income comes into my bank account First National will deduct the full loan amount. Well on the 26th of October 2017 my Salary was paid into my First National Bank account and to my horror almost all of my salary was deducted leaving me with no money to support my two children. I called First National and was coldly told that this is their rules and there is nothing they can do about it. I said well offer me antother temp loan to the same value at least so that I can survive and they advised that that was not possible. First National who can clearly see that I have a good credit rating, pay my accounts on time and have had my salary paid into the same account for the past four years are now throwing me and my two children out in the cold. They refuse to reply to me in writing and have tried calling me on my cell phone whilst I am at work. Do they want to further humiliate me in front of my colleagues? They are not calling me to help they are calling me to explain how they cannot help me. I am shocked beyond anything and it is sad that in todays's economic climate banks are not prepared to hold on to their good customers instead they would rather see them walk out the door which is exactly what I will be doing.
