Daylight ******* from FNB's Customer Protection Cover (CPP)
I took a R80,000.00 Loan with FNB (account number ***) in November 2024 to pay for new bond registration and transfer attorney fees. They sold a Customer Protection Cover (CPP) for R259.85. I am fast-tracking my payments, and the balance is now R20,900, but the CPP is still at R259.85. I have called so many times to change the CPP cover to the one that is charged per R1000 but FNB does not wanna change it. I am told that they cannot change it. I am moved from department to department and no one can help me. This is a daylight ******* FNB, how can a CPP cover for R80K be the same for R20K. You guys just wanna milk the poor customers who cannot reason and benefit from it. You are messing up with the wrong customer. I have checked with other banks, all their personal loan protection covers are reducing every month and are charged per R1000. But FNB wants to maximize their profits but taking advantage of their customers. Please change this to a billing per R1000. Otherwise, I am moving my whole banking elsewhere. I am really not impressed by this. I will also escalate this complaint to the Insurance Ombudsman. People and social media have been warning us about FNB, and here it continues to happen. I was hoping that the organization will learn from their past mistakes and do things ethically.
