On the 15 of May 2017 i received a call from FNB that i qualify for a new cheque acc. I accepted it. They told me the process and it sounded so easy and i was happy. The lady who called told me that she will open the account for me online and she will even help me with switching my debit oder and salary. she forwarded me the forms. She mentioned that the account will only be active once i deposit money. My new cheque account was delivered to the FNB branch that is close to me which is President str west branch. I went there to collect my new card. Lucky Mukhari (the consutant) informed me that the card is not active yet. I told him i was aware and that i will have my salary switched first before i active it to avoid paying double bank charges. He said ok. FNB can not switch my salary because at my work place you need to submit sighed documents from the branch in oder to swith the salary. Today i went to the bank with the document i received from my HR depart to switch my salary but the bank refused to help me. stating that my account is not active. I told the same consultant( Lucky Mukhari), his team leader that i can not activate my account until my salary is switched to avoid paying double bank charges. The only thing i asked from the is to fill the form and confirm the detalis on the form by giving me the confirmation letter that has my bank profile. Little di i know that they eill refer me to the bank manager Sam Pandora who wasn't interested to hear my story and help find a solution. Instead he put words in my mouth and assumed that i want them to lie on the confirmation letter that the account is active. I did not aske them to lie. i only asked them to give me a confirmation letter so that i can switch my salary ASAP. I spent about and hour there and the person who was supposed to help me, which in this case was a manager wasn't even intersest. He disappear on me saying he is going to make a call but i do not even believe that the call was made because he would have got back to me. Instead Lucky had to run around the bank looking for him. I need to know, does FNB make it seem so easy to switch to them but when you actually in the process they show you how they do not value you as a client and they make you waste time that you don't have trying to come up with a solution. Right now i am confused if i should kust cancel this whole thing and stay with my current bank because no one seems interested to help me with my problem.

i took time from work to sort this out for nothing.
