Customer service and ethics
06/09 I went to the petrol station to put petrol in my car, only had my drivers licence and my FNB credit card with me, was expecting it to be a quick trip, card didn't work and the petrol station wanted to call the cops for credit card *****. Called FNB on the 07/09 to be told that they froze my card due to a paperwork problem. Not once did they contact me before hand. So I decided I don't need the card then if that is what they call service, was gonna just the amount owed and close it at the end of the month, end of the month came, they froze my cheque account without no notification at all as like with the credit card, all my debit orders didn't go off, and had to wait for the money to reflect back at my company before I got paid. so endless list of problems and costs was caused by that. Went into the branch and was just told basically nothing can be done without paperwork, which was provided like 9 months ago. So in principle I refuse to step foot into FNB ever again if this is what they call service. Won't call me, sms me or provide any service I pay for but now there is R180 owed on my account they call me multiple times a day. Is this service?
