Credit Record Negatively Impacted due to FNB Credit Card Non-closure
FNB Credit Card Division
I had paid up and closed my FNB credit card account. However the account is still to be listed on my credit record rating over a year later.
I am in the process of applying for a home loan and this record is been picked up and my application declined.
It is rather disappointing to know that proper procedures were not followed when my account was closed. I do not recommend anyone taking a FNB credit card if this is the case.
The least FNB can do now is provide me with a paid up and closed up letter to update my credit listing.
