Credit limits are sucked out of thumbs

I app**** for a credit card, which was rejected due to zero credit history. After complaining, I was approved with a gold card (the second tier) with a tiny limit of 5900. I had to fight and complain for 2 weeks to even get a response from FNB.

I have a friend who was in the exact same financial situation, zero credit history, walks in to FNB and gets approved in 5 minutes for a classic card (the first tier) with a limit of 6500 (how does a tier one have a higher limit, do these accounts even mean anything?). This would not **** me off as much if FNB didnt reject me in the first place.

At the time, I was working for 10 months, he has been working for 3 months. I earn 4.2k more than him. How is this even possible that they have a higher limit and got approved IMMEDIATELY? Treat your customers FAIRLY please.

I have been banking with this institution for 4 years now and see myself being a long term customer. I have a contract with FNB connect, as well as a business account and personal account at FNB, and dont forget a pathetic credit card.

I strongly advise FNB start making better decisions.
