Credit limit increase- frustrating service

Good day,

I app**** for a credit limit increase (preapproved according to my FNB app) last Thursday. I was sent a quote via email, together with a request to send through a copy of my ID and 3 months' payslips. On Monday I phoned to check whether the documents have been received, since I have not received any communication or confirmation from FNB on the matter. I was told that my documents were received and that my application is being processed. On Thursday I phoned again, having received no communication from FNB and was told that the matter is being escalated and my credit limit will be adjusted. Yesterday I made another call to check on the process. I was told that my credit limit would be adjusted by the end of business day. It was not. This morning I phoned again, and was told that my application has not even been processed, yet. It was again escalated and now I might get feedback next Wednesday. This is frustrating in the extreme. Why do your call centre agents not know what's going on with applications? Every person I spoke to had a different excuse for why it has not been finalised. And is FNB not supposed to keep their customers informed of what's happening with their applications? I find this to be terrible customer service.
