Credit card upgrade ****ed my old one while waiting for the new one

FNB. I upgraded my account, which also meant I would get a new credit card. This takes a week, but little did I know my existing card would stop working while waiting for the new one. I have NUMEROUS payments per month that go off my credit card. All these have failed now with insufficient funds, because I cannot load money onto the new card, as the new one is already on the system. 12 transactions have failed so far. Who's going to pay for those failed transactions? I am disgusted by this, and trying to get this sorted over the phone has yielded no results. I still haven't gotten the new card, which hopefully comes today. But yeah, if you are thinking of upgrading your account and will get a new credit card, keep in mind that you'll be without a working credit card for a week at least.

They phoned and assured me they'll reverse the transaction fees. Apparently my old card was still supposed to work for another month. R8.50 adds up quickly when there's 12 or 13 failed transactions. Anyway, glad that's sorted, but it doesn't excuse an oversight like this and the high blood pressure caused.
