Credit Card Upgrade - Duplicate Transactions

I recently recieved a phone call from FNB asking if i would like to upgrade my Gold Credit Card to a Premier Credit Card. Upon accepting the upgrade, a new account was added to my online banking, "Premier Credit Card" and the old Gold Credit Card changed to "Gold Credit Account".

However, i noticed that when these changes were made i already had a balance of +- R -700.00 for the premier card without even collecting the new card yet.

I then phoned FNB and they explained that in order for me to still use the Gold card until the new card was collected, they had transferred the balance of the old card to the new card. Fair Enough, but now i have 2 cards where i have to pay double to settle both.

However, after using the old Gold Card a few times i noticed that these transactions were being reflected in both accounts and the balances werent equal. I have since collected the new card after speaking to a call centre agent that assured me that the old account would be closed upon activating the new card, this has not happened. Now im in a situation where im unable to track my usage of the cards on my online banking.

I now have different transactions reflecting in different accounts with certain transactions pending in 1 account that have already gone off in the other. There are duplicate transactions with my balances all incorrect. I have paid up my Gold card in order to try and close it, however when requesting to close the account multiple times so that it is removed from my accounts , FNB call centre responce to my request was , "It will go away in a couple of months."

I have had multiple past experiences where FNB has double charged me on my accounts where they have re-imbursed me after many fights. Ive been a loyal FNB customer for over 15 years and i have to always go through multiple call centre agents and multiple visits at the FNB branches in order for the issues to be resolved.

I do not have 2 credit cards anymore, therefor i dont want two credit card accounts that just transact whenever i use either of my cards. It makes it near impossible to track your funds! This is a major glitch on their system and ive seen that many people have the same issues with FNB (see link below).

Now i dont know if its just me, but im not happy with what has happened with regards to service from FNB. I am on the verge of closing all my accounts, including my business account, in order to move to a more reliable bank.

I trust that this matter will be resolved swiftly or i will revert to another bank asap.
