Credit card frozen, FNB cannot explain why

I recently got sold a gold credit card for my business under high pressure from FNB Card Division. The monthly payment on the card is by means of a debit order off my business cheque account.

In January, this went off, no problem. The February one, for a small amount of less than R400, also went off, but then came back unpaid without me getting notified a few days later, and in spite of there being more than enough money in the account for the small amount of the debit order. The gold credit card was then promptly deactivated, once again without me getting notified. I could not use it for purchases or at an ATM.

I then attempted to explain the above in a complaint to FNB which I logged on their web site. I wanted an answer as to why I had not been informed, and why the debit order had been reversed, in spite of there being enough money in the account.

After waiting days, and resubmitting the complaint several times, nobody even attempted to explain why the debit order had come back. Instead I received an extremely stupid email from a clearly disinterested "consultant" who didn't deign to answer my question as to why the debit order had been reversed and why I had not been informed, but merely instructed me to pay the small amount owing, which I then did yesterday using an EFT transfer in my internet banking.

Except, the card is still frozen, after I transferred the small amount, and I still have no explanation from FNB why the debit order was reversed instead of there being money in the account, and why the count is still not active.

Their complaints people are clearly not only useless - they take days to respond - but have absolutely no clue, or no interest, in resolving my problem.

To say your so-called service is ****, FNB, would be to insult faeces.
