Credit card approved, then declined
My son has been working for just over two years (at the same company), he has one retail account. He app**** online for his first credit card on Sunday. On line it shows he qualifies for R6900 credit. He e-mailed the requested payslips and ID to FNB. When he phones in to enquire he is told by the consultant that the credit card is approved and he must go to his closest branch to do biometrics and proof of address . He goes to FNB menlyn, we have to wait 40 minutes to see a consultants who then takes his fingerprints and proof of address. Today he calls to find out what is going on and after being transferred to a total of 5 people (all wrong departments) he gets to a consultant who then tells him the credit card is DECLINED! I am not even sure where to start with how wrong this is. I am DISGUSTED at the way a young man has been messed around, his time wasted and then to be told his application is declined AFTER being told it was approved and going to the branch as instructed!
