Credit card application taking more than 2 weeks and still waiting

So I went to FNB on the 28th of January to apply for a CREDIT CARD. Did the application and gave documents as requested. Went home and waited. After a few days I went to the branch again to get an update. The lady at the branch (she is an absolute star!!) who helps me couldnt give me any update and from the credit card dep there is NO COMMUNICATION at all. They said we should wait until end of the week. I went to the branch again, still nothing an still NO COMMUNICATION from credit card division. Lady at my branch sent an e-mail yesterday asking for help and finally someone phoned yesterday, spoke to my husband and rambled something over the phone that he must go do at the branch. So this morning I went to the branch, trying to find out what he needs to do or if it is something I can do. They phoned the credit card dep again and they said someone would phone me. Yet another day has passed and 16 days later we are still waiting for our credit card application to be approved or declined. We have been so long with FNB and it is dissapointing to see how after so many years we have to struggle with a thing like this.
