Credit Card Application Inefficiency
Got accepted by FNB for a bond and wanted to explore the different options such an opportunity brings. Was informed about the R199 bundle offer on premium banking and was immediately taken and willing to change banks. After almost 2 weeks of application I get a missed call and an email about my credit card. I follow the instructions and contact FNB but no one could assist over the phone. Today I get a call to inform me of my quote, got accepted for a Gold card, meaning I cannot use the bundle offer of R199. I informed FNB about my salary increase for January and that is how I got the premium cheque account, but what no one can explain is how an average method is used to determine my gross as per your system, which is not the true reflection of my status. Now I am left with a huge burden of bank costs and told there is nothing that can be done. I am bitterly disappointed and do not even see the need to change banks anymore because I would only be replacing a good interest discount for higher bank charges that I do not need.
