Credit Card

A few months ago, FNB contacted my wife and offered her a Gold Credit Card, which she accepted and was approved for. They issued the card, and over the past few months, she has made use of it, as well as paying it via debit order each month. Not one of these debit orders were returned. then last week she gets two SMSes from FNB, one increasing the limit, and another reducing it to 10% of what it was. When she called FNB Card Division, the consultant on the phone informed her that the card was issued to her in error (apparently her credit score wasn't high enough), and that she must make an arrangement to repay the amount still owing. Seriously, FNB??? You do this to a faithful client, who has not missed a payment EVER (not only on the Credit Card, but other loans she has with FNB that are almost paid off!!!), and alway services her overdraft. While she has been a faithful customer all these years, this ONE SINGLE event, has made her consider moving banks for the first time ever. While FNB are in their rights to withdraw credit as they are to grant it, is THIS how they do it?
