Credit cancellation delayed

I requested cancellation of my Credit card on the 12th of January and was advised by the call agent to cancel my card online if i dont want to spend on it and it will take 2 working days for the cancellation to be finalized. I did that and called back again on the 15th of January to check the progress of the cancellation and she said its still in progress and that she will escalate the matter for it to be resolved sooner. I receive a call on the 16th of January and I was asked why I want to cancel and was harassed by the caller on keeping the account. I declined and asked for the account to be closed. I then got an sms on the 18th of January that Mr D will be delivering my credit card. I then call FNB and asked why that is happening and whats happening with the cancellation. Floyd then asks me why am I cancelling my card and that its a long process to cancel the account. FNB is so quick to give you a Credit card but make up stories instead of cancelling it
