Confused job and roles

I was unable to get the total cost to me to spend 175E on line in making a purchase from Spain using my gold debit card.
I called `forex.
The attendant did not know what the charges were to me.
When I mentioned that I'd seen 2.75% on line, she realised that was correct.
Then she told me about another 2 charges, which amounted to R400 on a ? R3000 trnasaction!!
She could only quote me for SWIFT and not for a regular credit/debit card purchase.
She told me to call debit card.
I did. She'd said to call my bank. Melrose Arch.
On speaking to the attendant she said she could not give me precise figures over the phone!!! for what the charges were. I would have to come into the branch!!!
She said to call forex.
I called forex again. Still no information.
Finally I called Froex which \ receives funds"
I had a good experience with them a month ago when they gave me good professional assistance and were willing to go the extra mile to ask colleagues until I got the answer.
Eventually after 1 and a 1/4 hours I was told that the spanish bank might have their own service charges!! and that I would pay .275%. This too was an error!! as I knew it was 2.75%. There was an apology when I pointed out"""
