Complaint Regarding Delays in Bond Cancellation Figures

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the prolonged process of obtaining bond cancellation figures for a property I am in the process of purchasing.

As an FNB client, I expected a more efficient and streamlined experience, particularly in 2024, where technology should facilitate faster transactions. However, the reality has been quite the opposite. It has now been three weeks, and I am still waiting for bond cancellation figures, which has not only delayed the entire transaction but also wasted a considerable amount of my time.

To make matters worse, I was informed that the delay was due to issues with the seller’s signatures not being correct. This explanation is baffling, given that FNB has copies of their IDs on file. How is it possible that such a basic verification process can hold up an entire sale?

The slow pace and lack of urgency in addressing this matter have led me to question whether there is genuine interest or effort on FNB’s part to resolve this. Buying a house is already a stressful process, and these unnecessary delays have only added to the burden.

I am extremely disappointed and would appreciate an immediate escalation of this matter. Please ensure that the required figures are provided without further delay, as I am at my wit’s end with the inefficiency of this process.
