Complaint
My 66 year old mother went to a Queenstown FNB BRANCH (assumption that its safer) to withdraw cash, she put in her card and widrew R600. She did so and her card or what she thought was her card came back affer successfully withrawing the money. Less than an hour later she gets notifications that R2400 has been spent in Queenstown PNP. And not long after another saying R2400 has been witdrawn. Not by her ofcourse. She rushes (walks back) and walks back to FNB to report the case, all of this within 1 hour. A complaint is registered. They ask her for a card...she gives them. A different card from the one she put in the ATM. Clearly someone had tempered with the FNB BRANCH ATMs system. FNBs fault... not clients. Obviously she didnt notice it did not have her name on it due to her age. Someone young might also not have noticed. In short her claim was denied by FNB. Appealed and it was still denied. Such dissappointing service. Especially to the elderly who cant defend themselves. She had no choice but to give up on her claim...however stressed she was about it. What could she do against such a big company? Nothing.
Good Day
