Clueless Service, Worse Support
So sick of tired of FNB.
They seem to be entirely out of control of their client's matters.
Not to even mention their terrible support, oh my god it is terrible. I hate having to reach out to support. Attempted a chat with Thapelo, worst experience ever! Had to ask multiple times that he please explain the abbreviated jargon that he was using.
Also, premiere banking my ass! That silver card means nothing! You get the same ****ty support than everyone else.
I logged on yesterday to find out that the COVID-19 relieve fund that I had disappeared and my credit card seem to have inhereted the relieve fund. I'm talking under correction because I don't have a clue what is going on. Talking to Thapelo just made me more confused.
I'm moving my meeting as we speak. I am done with this useless bank.
Get a flippen grip FNB.
1. RE the COVID-19 relief credit. About a month ago, maybe longer (they deleted the chat) I wanted the cancel the relief fund I then requested the cancellation via their useless secure chat service. After struggling to get someone to process the request, which was a person sending another department an email, I didn't hear anything from anyone. I might remember this wrong, but after a while, I might have requested that they just ignore the request - cannot remember.
Once my salary came in the COVID-19 relief credit kicked in and I was like, okay, there is was no cancellation, and I'll just roll with it because I DO NOT want to deal with FNB's lack of support.
Fast forward to the present. I get a call that I need to make a Credit Card payment. I am like, there is a debit order in place for that, why did it not go off? The lady did not know, and I said I made the transfer immediately after confirming that the debit order will run the following month. The following day I log on to see if the money was moved and available in my credit card. Nope, it was not, instead I had this notification next to the amount, "REVERSAL DONE COVID 19 LOAN CANCELLED". No idea what it means or what it has to do with my credit card.
Again I reach out via the ****ty secure chat only to be met by Thapelo who cannot communicate to save his life. Then I came to Hellopeter because it is literally the only place where an FNB customer can still get some service.
Conclusion. FNB decide that after weeks has passed to finally cancel the COVID-19 relief credit, out of the blue and without communicating anything to me, the client. Absolutely disgusting service, no communication of any sort. No idea what is going to happen next with the COVID-19 relief credit. I guess it will be the next guessing game as essential communication is not a service that FNB offers anymore.
2. RE the confusion surrounding the Credit Card. After receiving the "REVERSAL DONE COVID 19 LOAN CANCELLED" notification I again made a payment to my credit card. That amount is also not reflecting. The Hello Peter Complaints Team contacted me yesterday, and they submitted a "what the hell is going" request to the credit card department to find out what is happening. Let see how long this is going to take.
All this said, there is a silver lining. I opened a Capitec account yesterday, and they are busy moving my debit orders. I've also moved my salary to my new Capitec bank.
FNB is not the FNB that I joined all those years ago. They completely lost sight of just getting the basics right. It is unfortunate, I was always proud to be an FNB client now I cannot wait the get away from their disgusting client support.
If there is any respect left to give, I will give it to the Hello Peter Complaints Team at least they know what they are doing.
