Closure of my credit card - IMPOSSIBLE

I called FNB Premier Banking on the 23 April 2018 and whilst the agent was on the line I made an online payment to settle off my credit card. I then immediately requested a closure of my credit card and was informed it would take 2-3 business days to be closed and the account facility removed from my banking app/online banking. Since then the account still remains open. I have made 4 calls to Premier Banking requesting to speak to a senior yet no one has called me since. I even went into the bank this past Sunday and no one was able to tell me why my credit card account is not yet closed. The service I have received from FNB was beyond terrible bearing in mind I have been banking with them for over 20 years and have all accounts through them. Monthly fees are still going off this account AFTER I paid and settled it and requested closure meaning these fees put me in a position of me opwing them MORe money in the near future. Its a way to keep you debted to them. My wife had the same issue and she had to get the ombudsman involved.
